Hamburger Morgenpost - Subscription business reorganization with Frisbii Media

The Hamburger Morgenpost (MOPO) switched to a weekly newspaper in 2024. As part of this change, they integrated Frisbii Media. Together with Frisbii, they now have a 360° management of all print and digital subscriptions. mopo.de is Northern Germany’s most widely read regional news portal with over 400.000 daily users and up to 7 million unique monthly users.

MOPO - 24/7 access online and a weekly premium print product

The print market is changing rapidly. Tabloid newspapers like the MOPO are active drivers of these market changes. In 2024, the publisher decided to switch from a daily to a weekly print edition and at the same time optimize their digital services.

With a subscription, print readers also have access to all digital offers and therefore receive up-to-date news next to the in-depth print stories. MOPO also added a daily newsletter that includes former elements of the daily print edition and acts as a compact daily product.

It was especially important for MOPO to manage all products in one system to allow bundle offers (for print and Plus subscriptions) and centralize customer data. The solution makes subscription management easier. It also reduces manual work for customer service, since they now have everything at a glance instead of having to look into different systems for print or digital data.
