Frankfurt, Germany – [5.11.2024] – Frisbii, a leading provider of recurring revenue management solutions, proudly announces that it has successfully achieved the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) 4.0 Compliance. This milestone underscores Frisbii’s unwavering dedication to maintaining the highest payment security and subscription management standards for its customers in an increasingly complex digital payment landscape.

Having been compliant with PCI DSS 3.2.1 already, Frisbii has now elevated its security posture by attaining the 4.0 version, ensuring even greater protection for customer data. The PCI Security Standards Council introduced PCI DSS version 4.0 at the end of March 2022, reflecting a significant update aimed at strengthening security controls around credit card transactions.

Jonas Hornung, VP of Technical Operations at Frisbii, commented, “PCI DSS 4.0 sets a new benchmark for protecting sensitive cardholder data, which is crucial in markets like Europe where card transactions remain a dominant payment method. While PCI DSS focuses on card security, the digital payments ecosystem is evolving rapidly. Frisbii is committed not only to complying with the highest security standards but also to anticipating and addressing new challenges in the wider payment landscape to keep customers’ data safe.”

With the rise of subscription-based services, securing payment information across multiple billing cycles is essential. Frisbii has designed its solutions to meet the stringent requirements of PCI DSS 4.0, allowing businesses to manage their recurring billing processes with confidence, knowing that compliance is built into their operations. Additionally, Frisbii supports a wide range of EU payment methods, offering flexibility for businesses to accept and manage various payment options securely.

Frisbii understands that increasing security layers can sometimes lead to customer frustration, potentially causing cart abandonment or transaction drop-offs if the process becomes too cumbersome. For subscription-based businesses, maintaining a smooth yet secure billing experience is critical to customer retention. Frisbii champions the idea that organizations can achieve top-tier security and compliance without compromising the user experience. With its innovative technology, Frisbii ensures that consumers can complete transactions securely and with ease—whether it’s a one-time payment or a recurring subscription.

As part of Frisbii’s forward-looking approach, the integration of AI and machine learning into payment security processes is being explored to further enhance fraud detection and reduce payment-related risks. This will help ensure that the company remains at the forefront of security innovations in the recurring billing space.
