Skattebetalerne wants to optimize the Danish tax system
Skattebetalerne (in English quite literally “taxpayers”) is a new member-based interest organization that represents taxpayers and protects the interests of both individuals and companies when it comes to taxes. It launched on September 3rd 2025.

How does it work?
As a non-profit organization, Skattebetalerne is dependent on donations and support from foundations. People can therefore either donate once or become a member and support the organization on a regular basis (monthly or annually).

A short launch deadline for easy donations & subscriptions
To make the Skattebetalerne mission a reality, the company needed a platform that could accept donations from private people either as a single payment or recurring (e.g. as a membership).
Skattebetalerne got in contact with Flowcourier, an AI and web development company that helped with the setup of the website and payments. Skattebetalerne and Flowcourier needed a solution that first of all enabled MobilePay, the most popular local payment method in Denmark. Additionally, they were looking for a solution that allowed a slightly different setup for the handling of donations and memberships.
After a few other considerations that didn’t quite fit all requirements, the Frisbii subscription management and payments platform was chosen. The Frisbii offers global and local payment methods – among them MobilePay – and has an API First approach to make it easy for developers to integrate, connect and customize as needed.
“We built the whole frontend just using Frisbii and their API. Additionally, we connected Frisbii with the Pipedrive CRM for the member management. Pipedrive is a European software that also has an API First approach, so it was a perfect fit. We then added Klaviyo, a marketing automation system, for personalized campaigns and communications. All in all, it took us only four weeks to set everything up.”

The right setup (and partner) for long-term success
For Flowcourier and Skattebetalerne, it was important to have a reliable solution for recurring payments that would function seamlessly even during donation “peaks” (e.g. after a press release or during donation campaigns) and that would furthermore offer the right payment options, enable customizations and make it easy to connect to other systems without data loss.
A bonus was Frisbii’s Revenue Insights feature that provides Skattebetalerne with metrics for churn, retention, payments and more.
